Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Wilsonville Vision Center the leading provider of vision care products and services in Wilsonville.

J Richard Christiansen O.D.

Dr. J. Richard Christiansen received his Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah in 1994. His Doctorate of Optometry was received in 1999 at Pacific University College of Optometry. Following his service in the military, Dr. Christiansen practiced at the Woodburn Vision Source before opening the Wilsonville Vision Center in 2004.

Through his education, Dr. Christiansen is trained in ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, and pediatrics, as well as all forms of primary care optometry. He is certified to use therapeutic pharmaceutical agents to treat glaucoma, iritis, “red eye” and other anterior eye diseases.

Dr. Christiansen is a member of the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association (OOPA). His interest sparked at a very young age when he started seeing his optometrist for vision correction.

In his spare time Dr. Christiansen enjoys hunting, and giving service in his community. He resides in Woodburn with his wife Tricia and his seven kids.
